Today, Zehnhof produces wine from its own grapes in the Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Lagrein varieties, DOC Trentino.
Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc are used for Trentodoc sparkling wine.
is Zehnhof’s first wine: Pinot Gris, which has always been the pride of Roverè della Luna, an area historically recognized and mentioned in all the best wine books.
It is characterized by a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose is extremely complex and varietal thanks to a delicate and elegant slight note of vanilla pods, hints of Mediterranean citrus and freshly picked fruit reminiscent of pear.
The mouth-feel is harmonious and with an excellent acidic structure, bordering on a pleasantly savoury and mineral sensation. It is eclectic in the kitchen: excellent for an Aperitif, it is also versatile with food, ranging from raw seafood to delicate white meats.
Grown in the Pradét vineyards, vines over 60 years old offer this Gewürztraminer of ancient tradition; aromatic, spicy and savory, enriched by a delicate scent of roses.
Bright straw yellow colour with brilliant golden reflections. Excellent aromatic complexity with hints of tropical fruit reminiscent of pineapple and mango, floral hints of rose on a spicy background reminiscent of ginger and vanilla pods. Rich and well-structured structure. Elegant, savoury and mineral.
Excellent as an aperitif, with speck and smoked meats as well as tasty cheeses. Also excellent with very spicy dishes, as curry or turmeric. Maximum expression when paired with fish dishes, grilled shellfish and seafood crudités.
The Laiten selection grows on steep hills in lean and pebbly soil, rich in limestone. This rare textured soil gives to this Lagrein its fresh aroma of blackberries and raspberries, combined with a velvety tannin that gives harmony and balance.
Deep ruby red colour; great harmony on the nose with fragrant feeling of berries and spices on a warm and enveloping background reminiscent of chocolate. Rich, complex taste and long taste-olfactory persistence; sweet and silky tannins.
Perfect wine to pair with meat dishes stews, game meet such as duck or guinea fowl and the typical “carne salada” of Trentino. Also excellent with cheeses or tasty first cours.
The Onkirt selection vineyard is located on the right side of the Adige Valley, in an area between the provinces of Trento and Bolzano, in one area planted with vines since ancient times.
